Hyperperloop One - Next Gen Transportation!

Elon Musk backed Hyperloop One is today the most widely spoken next generation transportation system.

Hyperloop was started in 2014 with the idea to provide people with fast, reliable and cheap transportation. It was started in a garage and today, according to its website has over 200 employees in Los Angeles, Nevada.

The Hyperloop uses an electric motor to move itself through an almost vacuum like tube (refer picture) at fast speeds without any sort of disturbance.

A concept video released a few months ago shows how it would be easy to book a seat (or multiple seats) in a Hyperloop and travel between two big metros in very little time. The concept video was based on a proposed Hyperloop line between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

A car ride between these two cities takes, on an average at least two hours. The Hyperloop claims to cover the same distance in thirty minutes without causing any pollution and harm to the environment.

Hyperloop One is currently in talks with the Indian Government to set up lines between either Bengaluru and Chennai, Chennai and Kolkata or Mumbai and Dehli.

Besides hoping to set up in India, Hyperloop has already got permission from the UAE government to connect Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

It is said that the travel time between Chennai and Bengaluru is expected to be 21 minutes, Kolkata and Chennai-90 minutes and Mumbai and Dehli-80 minutes.

The time taken to travel between these places is lower or almost equal to that flying. But, the advantages, according to Hyperloop are that the prices of tickets will be equal to that of a bus ride between these two locations, hence making it more affordable for the public and will be more comfortable and eco friendly.

Moreover, Hyperloop will be pilotless/driverless and the whole process will be almost completely automated. Provided that the technology is reliable, this will reduce the amount of accidents or delays caused due to human negligence or error.

Hyperloop hopes to transport cargo from one location to another by 2020 and passengers from 2021.

This technology is one of the most awaited and looked forward.

Personally, I can't wait for it to be operational, especially in India.

iOS 7 Update for Apple Devices

There is an OS update for iPads, iPhones and iPods (only for some generations). In this update there are many changes. The button on the right side of your iPads and iPhones now can be used to either, lock screen rotation, mute, pause or play your music. Lock Screen: In the older version to unlock the phones/tablet we had to swipe at the bottom part at the screen. Now we can swipe anywhere on the screen. As you can see in the picture, I have circled something at the bottom. If we swipe upwards we get many shortcuts. We can pause, play, change music tracks, increase/decrease volume, put the tablet/phone into airplane mode, Turn On/Off Wifi/Bluetooth/Do Not Disturb Option and mute our device.We can also view the current time in different time zones. Visiting the Kasturinagar (KA-03) RTO - a tumultuous but manageable experience to get a Learner's/ Driver's License without an agent/ driving school

Ask anyone, and I can guarantee that they will have a story (and in most cases, many stories) about their trip, or rather, numerous trips to the RTO for something as simple as getting a Learner's License (LL) or a Driver's License (DL). In this blog, I hope to make your life a tad bit easier by guiding you through the entire process, which may seem easy at first but is full of (overcome able) challenges if you know what you are doing. I turned 18 in January this year, and besides cutting a cake, I worked on my LL application online. I challenged myself to complete the entire LL to DL process by myself and without the help of an agent or a driving school, unlike what the majority do. Praying Mantis

Once a Praying Mantis was lying in my living room. I took it onto my hand and it felt scared for 5 minutes. Then when I did not harm it,it did not feel scared. It crawled all over my body. When it went near my neck it started to itch. I then told my mother to remove it. Then I looked at it. It was doing something with its whiskers. After a little time I put it near my plants. After that I went to tell my mother that I put the Praying Mantis on the plants. By that time it flew away. Here is a picture of a Praying Mantis on my T-Shirt:

What I did on my 1 day holiday

On 16 of February 2011 there was a holiday, since it was the festival of "Id". I played with my sister and her friends. We played badminton first. After that we got found a few seeds and put them in a pot that was abandoned. We also put leaves. Then we put a lot of water into the pot and then mixed it. While we had gone to the jogging track my friend stayed back. Once we came back my friend told me that while we had gone a cat had come smashed the pot and ran away.

Toll Tickets

Well, almost all of us have gone on atleast one long distance journey during which we have stopped at a toll gate and paid. All we do is stop, pay, go. I can assure you that 99% of you would not have actually studied a toll ticket. So here I have. As you would have read from my previous blog post , I went to Chitradurga. During that visit, I collected toll tickets. At the top of the ticket usually there is the name of the company followed by the serial number, date and time, lane number etc. On every ticket there is also something called an operator ID. On the way to Chitradurga The IRB TCBOT Tollways Pvt. Ltd. company's operator IDs are made of numbers. But the company called NBTL has a few letters as well as a few numbers in the operator ID. This is a difference that I observed. One more thing that I noticed was that, both these companies wished you either a 'Happy Journey'or a 'Safe Journey'.
