A Good Day For The Indian Teams

Under-19 ICC World Cup

Today the 26 of August is a good day for the Indian Cricket Team. First the ICC U-19 World Cup was won by the Indians. The team was led by Unmukt Chand. The World Cup was played in Australia. The captain Unmukt Chand scored a magnificent 111 not out and wicket-keeper batsman (A wicket-keeper who also bats well) Smit Patel scored 66 not out. Wasim Akram said that Unmukt Chand was very much like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. He said that U.Chand bats like Virat Kohli and captains the team like MS Dhoni.
The Indian National Team 

The Indian National Team beat New Zealand in the first test at Hyderabad. They beat them by an innings and 115 runs. Off- Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin picked up 6 wickets in the second innings. He also got his maiden (first) 10 wicket haul (picking up 10 wickets in 1 or 2 innings). He picked up 12 wickets in 2 innings and gave away only 85 runs. The second test match will be held in Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium which will start on the 31 of August.

Why I am not writing my remaining ISC 2020 Exam, and you probably shouldn't too

Updates as of last editing this blog: The Supreme Court has asked CBSE to consider scrapping exams. CISCE has issued a press release making exams optional. The petitioner in the Bombay HC, represented by Adv. Arvind Tiwari raised concerns about the transparency of the formula based marking process. They have stressed on the need to be fair and transparent. The methodology to assess one's marks will be finalised, hopefully by Saturday (21st June, 2020), and shared with schools on Saturday. The same will be heard in court on Monday (23rd June, 2020). A communication regarding the extension of dates will be sent to all Principals today. ------------------ It's been almost 3 months. 3 long months since the Council for Indian Secondary Education (CISCE) abruptly postponed all remaining ICSE and ISC exams indefinitely. The Great Omani Coastal Route

Route 15 : Muscat-Nizwa The parents, seemingly forever, had been planning a trip to Oman. Why Oman? Well, that’s a question I asked myself too. My dad, in the 90s, spent close to a decade in the UAE but barring a work trip, had never visited Oman. Fast forward to the 21 st   century, countless Oman Air flights from India to Europe later, he found himself stranded in Muscat. A ‘technical difficulty’ they said. He visited the Sultan Qaboos Mosque but didn’t get to see much more – it was only a 24-hour layover. However, the constant propaganda he was subjected to via the in-flight entertainment, and the cabin crew he made conversation with, convinced him that the country has a lot to offer. I love doing things on the computer. I love playing games, surfing the net etc. I also like programming. So I learnt the basics of programming.  I wanted to learn the basics of programming so that, when I grow up I will be able to write my own programs. I think in another 2 or 3 years I will know everything about programming and I will be able to write my own programs.

Kicking off a 'political career' in an idea-based, grassroots level political party

Despite having been following politics for the longest time, and now studying it full time, I never joined a political party. When people used to ask me "who do you support?", my answer was standard, "no one". Luckily for me, ever since turning 18 and being eligible to vote, there hasn't been an election in which I'd be forced to cast my vote and tell people that I have made a definitive choice about a particular political party. At a time when politics has become ever so polarising and dirty, I couldn't be happier to associate myself with the BNP. It was in February 2020 that I was introduced to the Bengaluru NavaNiramana Party. I found their vision, leadership and ideas incredibly refreshing.
